The Short Course on Clinical Research, Data Analysis, and Publication is designed to equip healthcare professionals, researchers, and students with essential skills and knowledge in clinical research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and the intricacies of scientific writing and publication. This comprehensive program covers foundational research methods, topic selection, literature review, quantitative and qualitative research approaches, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. Goal

The goal of this short course is to develop participants' proficiency in conducting high-quality clinical research, analyzing data accurately, and publishing their findings in reputable scientific journals. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the necessary tools to undertake independent research projects, collaborate effectively in research teams, and contribute valuable insights to their respective fields.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the training, participants will be able to.

    1. Define and explain key research concepts and terminology, and differentiate between various types of research and methodologies.
    2. Select appropriate research topics, formulate clear research objectives, questions, and hypotheses, and design and plan research studies using quantitative and qualitative approaches.
    3. Access and evaluate relevant research literature, and properly cite sources while integrating findings into their research projects.
    4. Implement quantitative research designs, including experimental and non-experimental methods, and apply qualitative research methods and study designs effectively.
    5. Analyze research data using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, and utilize software tools for data analysis and interpretation.
    6. Write clear and concise abstracts and manuscripts, understand the ethical considerations in research, adhere to best practices, and present and disseminate research findings through appropriate channels.
    7. Collaborate effectively with research teams and stakeholders, and communicate research findings to diverse audiences, including academic, clinical, and public sectors.
Training Modality

Live Online Sessions: 2 hours per day for 11 days, conducted synchronously by renowned researchers with over 20 published works.

Online Group Mentorship: 2 hours per week for one month.

Assessment

Pre-test and post-test, each lasting 1 hour.

How to Obtain Credit

To obtain CPD or CME Credit, complete the post-tests with an 80% pass rate. Complete the evaluation survey on-line and submit. A certificate will be mailed within a week of course completion date to the E-mail address provided at the time of registration.
